Hockey season is upon us after a few long months of the off season, and hockey fans are rejoycing. Its time to get down to work, as the season starts off with some hotly discussed news and predictions. While I know I called last season pretty badly, and this I openly admit, I am back to make my picks for this season. Starting in the west, I feel it will be a show down between Detroit and Chicago. Chicago is back returing many of its starters and I feel that they now have the experience they need to make a deep playoff run. As much as I like the BlackHawks, my pick still has to be Detroit. They have got to be upset about dropping the series to the pens last season and watching the punk from pittsburg Crosbey get to raise lord stanleys cup. As for the east, prepare for battle. There are no clear favorites on the east coast. Talk of the Bruins, Rangers, Canadians, and the two teams from Pennsylivana have been all people could talk about. Right now, the best pick looks to be the Penquins which I had to say because of my long time distaine for Crosbey, but o well, the team is good.
If I had to pick my choices for sleepers, I say is got to be San Jose in the west. And in the east, I think that Florida could surprise some people this season.
So thats it, day 1 of the season is over, so lets get this season heated up. as always, where my loyalties lie, LETS GO RANGERS!
